"The USTA believes a dry spell will occur at 2 p.m. and could last anywhere between one and four hours. However, after that, the night session would probably need to be cancelled with rain in the forecast the rest of the night."

Major insult for Andy to be shoved out on Grandstand IMO.

Thanks, Linda.
Did anyone see the fab interview with Ross, Colin and Andy that Petch conducted on Sky - hilarious. Sorry if it's been mentioned already.

Quite appalling - not only does Andy get shoved out onto Grandstand but Djokovic and Federer get to play their auarter final - how's that for favouritism! The only possible upside for Andy migth be that the crowd on Grandstand might not be quite so vociferous.

Certainly not happy Andy is on Grandstand but suppose Murray doesn't quite have the same clout as the top 3. Tbh I am glad he is still scheduled early and will hopefully be raring to go!

It's good anyway for Andy on GS, at least, it might be quieter and he can get business done quickly and not have to wait too long and glad Isner is there too. Priorities to seeds 1,2 &3

Maybe some hope. The boys are out with the rollers as the rain clears momentarily. View from Louis Armstrong Stadium http://yfrog.com/meb42gj

Pam Shriver has a new job as a weather girl for ESPN and says today's rain will be drizzly and spotty instead of the downpour like yesterday so there will be play but it will be interrupted. Fingers crossed we get SOME play at least.

Great interview with Petch.
Having heard that Roddick has complained bitterly about being moved to Armstrong and Nadal saying to the schedulers that he didn't want to move to Grandstand because the space behind the baseline is very limited - I think Andy should be given credit for taking his move without complaint. Especially as the pundits feel this move will deinitely benefit Donald Young - he has played on the court before and the crowd - who will be largely supporting him - are much closer.

The ESPN commies (inc. Chris Evert, Brad G., Darren Cahill and Johnny Mac) say that this weather benefits Roger Federer more than anyone else. The lower half will be screwed if they have to play four matches in four days and they blamed the television deals for putting so much pressure on the players. Hello! Haven't we been saying this for yonks?
