I am Linda, my flight gets in at 2pm on Thursday.

Anyone know whether the team has been announced yet? I think Leon is going to have problems deciding who to put in the doubles given the various performances this week.

PLEASE NOTE - the information on the DC webpage regarding timings is WRONG!!!
Play starts as follows:-
Friday 3pm (2 singles matches, tbc)
Sat 2pm (1 doubles rubber)
sun 1pm (2 singles with the #1 players in the first match)

The team is Andy, Ward, Fleming and Hutchins - had to be really on recent showing.

I suppose it was pretty much inevitable this would be the team, though pity Jamie not included of course.

Maybe he'll be in as a reserve. I'm sure he'll be there to support.

Pretty good though that he is spoiled for choice. Hope Jamie will be there to support...sure he will.

Do we know when tickets are due to be posted out?

Glad the Fabulous Baker Boy been called up as a reserve - he's had a really good last month or so.

Sad Jamie didn't get called up, but only really going to be in the team if he was going to be playing with Andy - otherwise doesn't really make sense to call on Colin and Ross.

Just hope that Andy will have time to get there. If he is in the final at the US Open, as we all hope he will be, it's unlikely it will be played before Monday at the earliest. That doesn't give him much time to get back to Braehead.

I was thinking that last night. How long can the USOpen go on for? Andy, Nole and Rafa are all supposed to be playing Davis Cup next weekend.

Federer is playing as well and he has to get to Australia - although I don't think the World Group are playing until the following weekend.

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about the World Group playoffs, I was just thinking of the semifinals. All the Davis Cup ties are the same weekend, 16th-18th.

Well, it's only a 7hr flight to Manchester so I'm sure he'll get back in time. Only problem is jet-lag after return journey. Could be tight though if he only arrives UK Wednesday. Oh dear, I'm worrying myself now....

I had accepted that he might not be there but now he has been named in the team, it's like he has got to be there lol!

There is a chance I could now make the DC next weekend .... I know it's a long shot, but would there be any chance of getting tickets at this very short notice??? If it then turns out that I can't go I would just bear the cost unless someone wanted tickets at ven shorted notice!!

Would be great if you could come! On Ticketmaster they still have tickets for Friday and Saturday but not Sunday (strange, as Sunday is likely to be dead rubbers).

I would be coming on my own so would only want to come if I was sitting with you guys. Have texted Sally but haven't heard anything back as yet. I know it's unlikely but thought it was worth a try!
