Watching a bit of Harrison vs Cilic - he's not living up to all the hype at the moment - Cilic won the first set 6'2

Cilic is playing very well - perhaps I shouldn't have predicted him to lose to Fed in the pick'em?

Yes he's hitting the ball really hard - nice to see him in good form

Ryan's a good player and I'm sure he'll be as good as Roddick one day soon but I don't care for him. Bit bratty.

Cilic just took the 2nd set 7'5 by breaking Harrison serve to 15.

Nishikori just retired, Laura Robson should be on soon on that court. Link if anybody wants it: here

Sky have just shown Andy practicing outside - looks good
They are also saying Djokovic is practicing his serves - but not putting all effort into them.
Sky interview with Andy coming up on Sky later on.
Laura has won first set

Laura has won
Court no 13 is not very lucky for the Japanese. They have 2 Japanese players retire in a row on it. First Nishikori and then Laura's oppontent.

We are following Heather on her thread but just to keep you informed... she won the first set. You may have heard of the opponent... Maria Sharapova

Heather went down 6-3 5-7 3-6 in the end but she made Sharapova work incredible hard for the victory.
IMHO that match can give her tons and tons of confidence that she belongs on the big stage!

Heather acquitted herself admirably. Very impressed with her composure and that she didn't get rattled. Should give her lots of confidence in the future. And I love how she doesn't make noise.
Rafa's playing the night match tomorrow along with Serena. Djoko is during the day.

Not that I want it to mean anything, but I love this kind of thing ...... courtesy of Brad Gilbert tweet:
bgtennisnation. Djoker comes into the US Open with a 57-2 mark. Mac came into the 84 US Open 62-2. both lost at French and in Cincy. interesting factoid.

After being 2 sets up and a break in the 3rd belucci is now a break down in the 5th
Not good for my pick em, and Troicki looks like he could follow Belucci's lead

So Andy draws the short straw yet again by playing on Wednesday. Why can't the USO get their scheduling right- all the other majors manage it!

Not good is it? Exactly the same as last year. It's not fair on Andy.

They only need to have a day of rain and Andy will be playing back to back matches AGAIN.

As if us fans have not enough nerves going on now Andy is not playing till Wednesday, I pray that it stays dry there for the whole fortnight! How do they make the decision to do this to Andy every time?

- looks like Nole's half although he's not playing (Fed is). So no Andy - he'll be playing when I'm in work Tues or Wed
Hmm, I may be jumped on (please no no no!!!!) but erm, here we go again. Feddy gets his first match under his belt early - and I bet Andy plays his R1 on Wed so he'll be tight for recovery time in Week 2 and thru' to the Final.

I guessed this would happen as soon as I saw the OOP for Monday.
It's so annoying!
