Had to leave exactly when the match finished, so I really appreciate your links about the ceremony.
Shame Djokovic had to retire but this takes away nothin from Andy, he's played a really solid week here and deserved the title.

Ok, so not the best way to win through a retirement but Novak would not have been pushed as much by other players. Andy I guess played hard and kind of pushed Novak into a place he wasn't doing too good at. Did wonder if he would come off for rain break but...

Andy played fab in the 1st set (and 2nd) and there were some great rallies! That 40 plus shot rally to break was sensational! Real killer for Novak. So glad to see Andy back. Now if only he would stop losing his serves :p

Interesting trophy... a plant pot/vase? A nice cubby home for the dogs or a present for mum or Kim? Decisions decisions. Have never seen anything like it lol!

This tournament has been a bit weird. Federer and Nadal off form. Nole struggling... Not daring to hope... A week for the walking wounded to recuperate so who knows for US Open

Listening to Radio Scotland this morning, Andy saying that he's feeling good as he feels he hasn't peaked yet, unlike the past two years. Now for a good week of preperation in Flushing Meadows and let battle commence a week today/tomorrow.

Good result from Andy to beat Novak, Looking forward to US Open. Gotta feeling that this is his time to do it!

PS Shame were not the offical andy murray forum anymore but great that we are all kept together in this community!
