Good performance today from Andy - slight drop in level in the second set which Gilles predictably capitalised on, but other than that it was a focused performance. Great to see him in another final

Well done today Andy!!!!
good point david
great last game, gilles hung on from 0-40, and andy only beat him at 5th, or 6th, matchpoint.
very different tomorrow, and will start at 1pm bangkok time - when is that london time?

Well done Andy, solid when it really matters and we seen some spectacular points. A but edgy in that last game which became a bit of a classic, but even if he had lost that think Murray was going to come out on top today anyway. It is a good matchup for him really. Not underestimating Young but Andy should too strong for him all being well.

I didn't see the match - out walking the dogs in this lovely sunshine (shame on me - sorry Andy!!) Caught the last few points on livescore.
Well done Andy - lets hope this is another tournament in the bag and one step closer to overtaking Fed!!

It was the only one of Andy's matches I've been able to watch this week, so glad I saw it. Won't be able to watch tomorrow as will be in Church. Good luck Andy!

I managed to watch the first set, Andy was playing so solidly. So was quite surprised to come home and see he had lost the second. Still....alls well that ends well...on to the final
He didnt have too much problem with Young at the US Open but I have a feeling that young man (no pun intended) is well fired up and may just give Andy a bit of a headache. But experience should win out.
If it is a 1pm local start that means 8 am here - oh dear, on a sunday morning! I'd only do it for Andy7

Just managed to check on this - great that he got the win......not so great for my FTM that it was in 3 !!! I predicted 3 yesterday and got 2, so thought I'd have faith today......silly me!

My hubby's computer worked for all of 10 minutes then blacked out. Couldn't figure out why and I was a bit tired at 3 a.m. so I missed Andy's match. This morning I figured out the power outlet was not working. So annoying. Hopefully it'll work out better for the final.
Anyway, happy he got the W!

I have often wondered if Andy does this deliberately in the second set in matches he knows he's going to win in order to get more match practice. I think his match tomorrow is scheduled for 3.00 p.m. local time - 9.00 a.m. UK time.
