Re: E-mail notifications
If you're getting all these emails then you must be getting an extraordinary amount of PMs!

Re: E-mail notifications
No, I'm getting emails telling me that someone has replied to a thread, etc. I've put no on all the boxes I can.

Re: E-mail notifications
Oh, that's really peculiar. Never had those. Your inbox must be swamped! You have definitely got the 'no' box checked against 'always notify me of replies'? Why not just block the forum from your emails?

Re: E-mail notifications
Yes, I've got all the boxes on "no" now but I'm still getting emails. I wonder if I can take my email address off somehow then I can't get any more messages. I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem.

I know its a different thing but have you got his one set to no too? Might be worth it, you never know
"Notify by e-mail when a new message has arrived in my inbox :"
I suppose one solution if it does not go away is to create a new email address and reset your email address on here to that one.
I have spent some time trying to see if there is something we can do from our end, but had no luck.

Re: E-mail notifications
Sorry Cazza, to be a pain. I've got all of them on no. So odd. And yet it's not all the threads I've posted on, just certain ones.

Re: E-mail notifications
Aha! Do you have anything selected under 'Topics Being Watched' or 'Favourites'?

39 topics being watched and nothing under favourites. Why, what does that mean?

Re: E-mail notifications
Well, is it the topics being watched that you're getting the emails about? Why did you list any topics as being watched anyway? Surely the whole point of doing that is so that you can be alerted when something is posted on them?

Re: E-mail notifications
I didn't list anything, though. This is the first time I've looked at it.

Re: E-mail notifications
Anyway I've just deleted them all so let's see if that stops all the email notifications.

Re: E-mail notifications
So those things just listed themselves? Curiouser and curiouser. I suggest you unlist them and watch to see if anything else lists itself. By the way, when you are making a post there is a check box underneath 'Notify me when a reply is posted' - I suggest you always make sure that is unchecked before you click 'send'.

Re: E-mail notifications
I don't have any topics being watched set. I tried to set one and it didn't work. Curioser and curioser

Re: E-mail notifications
The "notify me when a reply is posted" is blank underneath this post.
The whole thing is spooky, no?

Re: E-mail notifications
No more emails so I think the culprit was the topics being watched list. Thanks Linda and Cazza!
