Very good showing from Kiss - well done to him for putting up such a good showing.

At the very end of the Eurosport session when they showed a summary of small clips of the day they showed am.clommers holding union jacks. Also a quick shot of Pabbers.

If, as expected, GB win the doubles, will Andy really have to play out a dead rubber ? Question

It would seem an unwelcome scenario - would Colin Fleming stand in ?

Well Andy didn't let us get away without a sofa session but with live tennis there is nowhere to hide so we just continually shouted at him. To be fair Sebo played a really good third set making some amazing shots and really testing Andy at times. Not many people beat Andy in a tiebtreak though and he played an almost faultless one. He played really good tennis throughout although did look tired.
James Ward is something else. He achieved a really courageous win, almost crippled with cramp at times he battled through to get the win. In the last game Attila got cramp as well and there wasn't time for him to recover. The referee gave them both warnings when they were crippled up with cramp which seemed a bit unjust but i suppose rules are rules.
A really exciting and enjoyable day of tennis.

Thanks Pat, good to hear your live views of the matches. Hope you're all having a great time.

I thought Andy looked v tired & was clearly wanting to finish the match ASAP, which led to 1 or 2 mistakes. That's oor Andy tho but taking nothing away from Kiss, what a night for him! Great result for GB at the end of the day.

Am really glad for Wardy that he was able to pull off the win! Hopefully it will improve his confidence loads! Tweet from James post match

So pleased to get the win today!! Cramping and being sick wasn't fun but I found a way to win!! Thanks everyone for the support!! #daviscup

Sounds rough so good win especially under the circumstances Smile

Kiss gave a good showing of himself. Perhaps Andy was trying hard to finish it off quickly but still a solid showing from Andy showing his class!

    2-0! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! cheers

Sorry I didn't get a chance to come and say 'hi' to the am.com crew. I was planning on coming over after Andy finished his match but my niece was absolutely shattered after her 1st full week of school. It was past her bedtime and she was really tired. We had to make a dash for the exit the minute Andy won. She did love seeing Andy though. I hope everyone had a great time.

Glad to see GB 2 love up after the first day. Very Happy

No idea formally but if the tie is already won it would make complete sense for others to play the match. If Andy clearly looked tired, then his willingness to play should be respected by not playing him when not necessary.

Go Andy Murray! If I see any less than a triple bagel tomorrow morning, I shall deem it a Murraycoaster. Very Happy

Well, what can I say! I'm delighted Andy won, but he only earns my forgiveness for the Murraycoaster for the fact that he must be exhausted. No sofa to hide behind? Just as well you were able to make Andy hear you! Cool

Lovely to see the photo of you all, are we all female on this site? Very Happy

Well maybe a mini coaster as Andy taken to the breaker in the 3rd having served for at 5-3 and then missing three mps at 5-4 but he stepped it up to clinch the match. Fab being at another tie again! Could have been easier but we had some drama and Kiss did have some moments once he got going. see the Aussie's are 2-1 up as lleyton/Chris beat Fed and Stan in 4 sets, well done! A tough match for James and a pity he had trouble with cramps, but a gutsy win in the circumstances! Not counting chickens but the tie should be sealed today!

Just seen that Australia are 2-1 up on Switzerland having won the doubles - well done the Aussies! Well done, too, to our boys - both had their problems - James with cramp and Andy with tiredness but they came through - fantastic!

Enjoyed both the matches which I have recorded and two great shots of Maureen. On a shallow note I was fascinated by Attila's eyebrows which on TV looked too perfect not to be groomed!!

Yes, hoping Tomic can somehow take down Federer, but if he can't, Hewitt is highly favoured to beat Wawrinka.

Kicking off the start of the livescores with Abba's Dancing Queen. I like following scores with upbeat music in my earphones. Cool
